Bangladesh Tourism Board to Showcase 'Beautiful Bangladesh' at ITB Asia 2026

Bangladesh Tourism Board (BTB) has announced its participation in ITB Asia 2026, a premier travel trade show in Asia, set to take place from October 21 to 23 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The Bangladesh Pavilion will be located at Booth F01, Basement 2, where visitors can experience the country's tourism offerings firsthand.

ITB Asia is recognized as one of the most significant travel industry events in the region, attracting thousands of travel professionals, tour operators, buyers, and media representatives from around the world. BTB's presence at this event is aimed at increasing global awareness of Bangladesh as a travel destination and forging new partnerships within the international tourism sector. By participating, BTB seeks to position Bangladesh among the leading destinations presented at the event and to connect with influential stakeholders in the travel industry.

The Bangladesh Pavilion will showcase an immersive and diverse experience, with a design inspired by UNESCO-certified rickshaw paintings. These vibrant and intricate artworks are a hallmark of Bangladeshi urban culture, often seen on the country’s iconic cycle rickshaws. The motifs used in the pavilion reflect Bangladesh's rich history, artistic traditions, and the creative spirit of its people, offering visitors a glimpse into the nation’s cultural identity.

Attendees will be invited to explore the breathtaking beauty and rich cultural heritage of Bangladesh. Highlights include the world’s longest natural sea beach at Cox’s Bazar, which stretches over 120 kilometers along the Bay of Bengal, and the Sundarbans, the largest mangrove forest in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The pavilion will also spotlight the lush green tea gardens of Sylhet, renowned for their scenic landscapes, as well as the country’s historic landmarks and architectural treasures that span centuries of history.

Through a variety of immersive experiences, visitors will gain insight into the everyday life of Bangladesh’s countryside, including traditional rural games and glimpses of local customs. These elements are designed to present the diversity of attractions that make Bangladesh a unique travel destination, blending natural wonders with living culture and heritage. The pavilion will offer interactive opportunities for guests to engage with the stories and traditions that define the country.

Bangladesh Tourism Board’s goal at ITB Asia 2026 is to introduce these experiences to the region's most influential tour operators, buyers, and media outlets. By doing so, BTB aims to increase the visibility of Bangladesh’s tourism sector and encourage more international travelers to consider the country for leisure, business, and event travel. The board is also focused on presenting Bangladesh as a market ready for business, with tourism experiences tailored for a wide range of visitors, including corporate groups and event planners.

The public sector delegation will include representatives from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism, Bangladesh Tourism Board, and Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation, who will be joined by government officials. In addition, four private sector stakeholders—Autarky Tours, Trip Like Local, Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka, and Green Channel—will participate in the Bangladesh booth. These organizations bring valuable industry expertise and market-driven tourism offerings, contributing to a comprehensive presentation of the country’s travel sector.

By working together, the public and private sectors will promote Bangladesh’s diverse tourism attractions, conduct business-to-business meetings, showcase destination packages, and explore new partnerships with international buyers and travel trade professionals. This collaborative approach is intended to expand Bangladesh’s presence in the global tourism market, foster industry growth, and support the development of new travel products and services.

BTB and its partners aim to demonstrate that Bangladesh is not only a destination to visit but also a market open for business and collaboration. The pavilion will feature special travel packages, engaging presentations, and interactive experiences that will provide visitors with a memorable introduction to the heart of Bangladesh. Through these efforts, BTB hopes to leave a lasting impression on attendees and inspire them to discover the country’s unique offerings.
